Silently these trees witness time
They are the keeper of time
Relationships weaved, knitted and knotted
Memories created, lived and deleted
Time, lived in analogue shifted to digital
Silently observed the protests succeed and failed
Saw innumerable people come and go
they stood still, with ravages of time

They are the keeper of time
Waiting for others to come and go
Seeing the digital time lived through devices
Seeing the shift from books to e-books
Longing for a person reading
Pride and Prejudice under its shade
Silently seeing new histories being made
Trees are indeed the keepers of time.
